Waht Kind of guy would routinely spend a hal-hour or even an hour or more jsut staring at bookshelves, newstands and other retail spaces?
CHEAP;
IDLE;
DISTURBED;
WEIRD;
I'm sure the baove and other (unprintable) epithets sprinmg to mind in answer to that question. You're even more inclined to disparage the practice in this Wikipedia/Internet Age where information almost anything ca nbe had at almost anytime.
And yet, there's something to be said for this practice, both in terms of practicalinformation agthering and the less obvious but no less important sociualand behaviour observation aspect.
You see, I have a fairl;y unique vantage point for these claims. I've been a "browser" now for the better of 24 years. Yes, you're seeing right.
